Communication
All dorm apartments have wireless internet access provided by HOT at no charge to the residents. The public spaces are equipped with the university’s wireless network (AirCarmel and Eduroam). A TV connection to HOT broadcasts is available through the Student Union. Every apartment is set up to connect to both of the mobile phone services Bezeq and HOT.
AMIT Social Services
Dorm residents can avail themselves of AMIT Social Services, which helps with financial, employement, social, emotional, academic, and other problems. Auxiliary Services
Parking: The dorms have a two-story parking structure with 100 parking places. Dorm residents are eligible for a sticker permitting them to park in the dorm parking structure for NIS 150 per semester / NIS 300 for the year. Mail: Mailboxes are located near the registrar’s office. Mail is sorted and placed in mailboxes every day.
Computer Services
The dorm area has computer rooms for the students’ convenience. Federman Bldg. has a room for the visually impaired where they can work with mentors and use adapted computer stations and assistive technologies. CopyTech Ltd. provides and services the copy machines.
Laundry Facilities
The dorm area has laundry rooms featuring washers and dryers. Payment is with cash or credit card. Shikma Dorm has a laundry room free to dorm residents.
Synagogue
The Young Israel Synagogue is located in the Federman Dorm building and is open pending student demand.
Culture and Entertainment
During the course of the year, the dorm office organizes social events, such as end-of-semester parties, holiday parties, movie nights in the dorm club, extracurricular activities, and more. The dorm club features a pub that is open nightly to dorm residents.
Minimarket
Open every weekday from 7:45 AM until 8:30 PM Fridays and holiday eves from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM Saturday nights from the end of the Sabbath, for the next two hours
