The Gan Ha’yeled Program

Gan Ha’yeled is a social experiential center open to children, adolescents, and young adults with special needs and members of their families in the afternoons and on weekends. Gan Ha’yeled is designed to provide the special needs population coming through its doors a warm social environment. Students are integrated into this project in educational and social activities taking place at Gan HaYeled, thus acquiring professional experience in the field. Activity is supported by the Yakov Meridor & Mila Brener Foundation.

Scope of activity: 3-4 hourly weeks, 120 community service hours per year
Scholarship amount: NIS 8,000

Criteria for submitting your candidacy:*

  • Regular BA and MA students (preference given to student with two years of study left)
  • Fullmilitary/national service
  • An affinity for working with children with special needs
  • Registered for courses worth 30 academic points for the year or a schedule consisting of a minimym of 75% of tuition
  • The ability to volunteer at least one day a week from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM

Program Components:

  • Social activities with children with special needs
  • Participation in training and enrichment activities
